4 Startups to Simplify Your Life While Wedding Planning
There are some things in life that you can’t put a price on, and for me there are some services that are definitely worth the small premium in exchange for the vast difference they make on my life. Since we’re all so busy this time of year, here is a list of my four top services that are worth the premium.
- HOME CLEANING: HANDY
For those of us who are new to apartment life living in the city, it’s difficult to find a cleaning service that’s reliable and vetted. That’s where Handy comes in. Book a home service, from cleaning to plumbing to light electrical contractor work. Schedule it on your own time. The Handy workers bring all of their own equipment, so there’s no need for you to worry about having all the right products on hand. The pricing is competitive, and you can get money deposited into your account by referring your friends to the service
- GROCERY DELIVERY: INSTACART
For a $3 delivery fee, this app lets you order your groceries online and have them delivered to your door at a time of your choosing. For me, the $3 delivery fee is worth the convenience of not having to lug my grocery bags several blocks home, but what’s even better is that you can order groceries from any nearby grocery store you want.
- A MUSIC SOLUTION: SPOTIFY PREMIUM
A lot of people I know settle for the free version of Spotify (or iTunes), but Spotify’s premium version is absolutely worth it if you’re the kind of person who cares about music and is always on the go. For only $9.99 a month, users can play any song they want on demand; find, save, and create playlists; discover new music; share music and playlists; and listen to songs picked by Spotify’s Radio ad-free. To me, one of the biggest benefits to Spotify Premium is that my music automatically syncs across my devices. Gone are the days that I have to plug my phone into my computer to update playlists.
- LAUNDRY ON DEMAND: WASHIO
Washio is an on-demand laundry and dry cleaning service. Set up an account within the app and schedule the day and time you want your laundry and dry cleaning to be picked up – a ‘ninja’ will come to your door and give you a cookie in return for your bags of dirty clothes. You select the time you want your clothes to be returned based around your schedule, and they’re delivered back to you cleaned, folded, and ready to be put back into drawers. The prices are competitive, and the simplicity of the experience is unparalleled. What could be better?
